✨ Cost of the Weave:
A simple weave that only uses a single thread costs an insignificant amount, pulling only from the caster's own self-made resonance. These are everyday weaves such as completing mundane tasks and simple levitation, teleportation, healing minor wounds or simple glamour weaves. Remember, even simple illusion spells, if they carry dissonance, can attract Scatter-Souls. The state will not be held liable for any damages.
✨ Minor Magic:
In Atheria, mages do not cast spells in the traditional sense; they "weave" resonance. Their bodies naturally create a level of resonance, weaving is raising your vibration to be in tune with the world's energy. Because raw magic can be volatile, different cultures use physical focuses to absorb the cost and amplify their will. Atheria does not give it freely. Magic cannot be created from nothing. When you borrow from the land, Atheria demands payment.
✨ Major Magic:
Weaves requiring more than one thread ask the planet of Atheria to tune with them, which means the mage is borrowing planetary energy. Atheria demands that energy back, which is where your eco-tithing comes in! The mage must pay off their "magical debt" by replenishing the land. By planting trees, tending to resonant crops, picking up litter, or caring for animals, you pay Atheria back for helping you to feel badass, complete mundane tasks, or for the more dangerous, alter fate.
✨ Atheric: The Language of Magic
Native languages are phonetically messy; they are cluttered with "unstable phonemes" that cause spell flares and accidental summoning. Nuenced speaking and regional dialects dont mix particularly well. So, Atheric has been meticulously scrubbed of these sounds to provide a "Safe Mode" for existence.
Beware:
• Mispronouncing words or using incorrect tones will drastically alter any weaves.
• If you are fleeing the law or if you conceal malice during gendarme questioning you will emit an odor. Which smells like burnt hair, and spoiled meat, therefore alerting the Ferrets or Raskets. They help the Gendarme and Blackwake find criminal & nefarious individules.
• If they shriek at you, it will be recieved as a "tiny indictment." Indictments, regardless of size, are grounds for investigstion.
• Atheric was created specifically for Resonant Harmonics. Any other language is offensive to Atheria
✨ Birth Anniversary & The Wheels of Heaven
Birth Anniversary refers to the day a person is born. Atherians do not use the term birthday. Its an anniversary of one's birth. Atherians age physically, three year slower but mentally & emotionally, three years faster than their earthly counterparts.
Seven immense wheels—rotate within one another. They aren’t made of metal, nor are they truly light. Instead, they are composed of time, gravity, intention, and a touch of regret. Each wheel governs a different layer of reality, turning at its own unyielding pace.
A chart does not predict fate.
It reveals:
Resonance bias, magical ease and friction, recurring life tensions, the kinds of conditions under which a person thrives or distorts. A chart is not a command. It is a pattern map. An anniversary chart updates every year and acts as a chart overlay, modifying your birth chart with the current years astrological positions.
How Astrology Works
In Atheria, a spell is a carefully constructed formula rather than a spontaneous burst of power. Every weave must be spoken in the spell safe language of Atheric. To weave resonance, you must utilize three distinct components. The fuel (Emotion & Intention). The vehicle (The Words), and finally, The weather (Celestial influence). Mastery of these ensures your magic remains stable as to avoid the "Scourge of the Echo-Loops."
The Fuel (Emotion & Intention):
This acts as the "gasoline" of your spell. You power the weave using your internal resonance bias, which is projected physically through the tone of your voice. Low Tones are for grounding & stabilizing. Used for mending objects, sonic wards, and physical anchors. Mid Tones are used in illusion & shaping weaves. For instance, communication, resonance shaping, and neutral projections all use mid balanced tones. High tones activate & release weaves that summon, cause energy spikes, and initiate movement.
The Vehicle (The Words):
This is the "car" that carries your intent. All formal magic is spoken in Atheric, a constructed language engineered to be "spell-safe." Native tongues are forbidden in casting due to phonetic instability which attracts "gremlins" and causes misfires. Atheric utilizes phonetically stable patterns specifically designed to prevent "accidental emotional broadcasting."
The Weather (Celestial Influence):
The planets, moons, and celestial currents represent the "road conditions." Their position in the sky determine how magic behaves. The five planets, and sun determine, the cost and consequence of your magic. The moons govern volatility and emotion. Together they determine how the magic "feels." Finally, the Currents. These are the patterns in our lives that dictate where magical energy pools, flows, or knots in a mage's life.
