It remains a massive, ongoing irritation to the Luminous Collegium that the true origin of the Solari and Tide-Runner feud remains lost to the physical fogs. 

Every few decades, an ambitious scholar gets exceptionally close to uncovering the original document. Last century, the Bard Vessan claimed to have localized the exact transaction in the Giltway Vaults. He called a public assembly, stood before the council, and announced: "I have discovered the truth. The feud began when—" and right at that moment, a sudden gust of wind blew the parchment directly into the sea, a nearby child loudly shouted "RABBIT!", and a passing Gendarme's mustelid issued a shriek that completely shattered the crowd's focus. 

The Solari maintain that the Tide-Runners stole a sacred, symmetrical sun-disk. The Tide-Runners insist the Solari simply dropped it over the side of their cloud-skiff and were too proud to climb down and get it. Scribe Muervin grumbles that the whole dispute began because someone ate another clerk's lunch at the depot. Lord Bailiff has refused to sign any verification forms regarding the matter, choosing instead to sleep heavily across the fresh ink of the ledger, purring at the exact frequency of a peaceful silence. We advise future scholars to let the matter rest, or risk receiving a sub-vocal citation for wasting court time.
